Located in the southern part of the Médoc peninsula, near the villages of Macau and Ludon, the vineyard of Château Cantemerle, Grand Cru classified in 1855, extends over a vast bed of deep gravel. With its particular terroir, Cantemerle produces delicate, balanced wines with a rare aromatic complexity. After having belonged to the families Villeneuve (1579-1892) and Dubos (1892-1980), the Château was acquired in 1981 by the group SMA (Mutual Insurance Company of the companies of the building and the public works).
The very old history of the estate is reflected in the architecture of the buildings and the beautiful park that surrounds them. Cantemerle exudes charm and romance. His wines have the touch, as if by magic !
