Maison Ruinart
Originally, there is this monk. Benedictine, intuitive, visionary, hardworking, modest: Dom Thierry Ruinart (1657-1709), contemporary of Louis XIV.
On September 1st, 1729, in Reims, in the heart of Champagne, Nicolas Ruinart writes the founding act of Maison Ruinart which becomes, thus, the first champagne house in the world.
For more than two centuries, the family Ruinart, ennobled and became Ruinart de Brimont in 1817, animates the House with the same constancy.
