Domaine de Pignan

Domaine de Pignan, founded in 1855 by Mr Antoine Pécoul and his wife Sophie, started out as a family business with no bottled sales. They acquired 5 hectares near the Château des Papes.

In 1920, their son François Pécoul continued the business, introducing new grape varieties to expand the vineyard.

The 1950s saw Louis and René Pécoul and their sister Simone take over the business, contributing to its expansion by acquiring plots throughout the appellation. Bottled sales began in 1960 under the name "Cuvée des Bosquets". Thanks to their dedication, the winegrowing heritage has been preserved, ensuring the reputation of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation.

In 1989, Frédéric Charvin, Simone Pécoul's grandson and a passionate winegrower, took over the estate and renamed it "Domaine de Pignan".

Today, with the help of their daughters Coralie and Floriane, the Charvin family continues the legacy in their vineyards.
