Tenuta L'Impostino, nestling on a natural amphitheatre facing south-west at an altitude of 380 metres in Tuscany, covers 52 hectares. The estate comprises 20 hectares of gently sloping vineyards, surrounded by 30 hectares of picturesque holm and cork oak forests, as well as 2 hectares of olive groves. A modern 2,000 m² cellar, designed in the traditional shape of outstretched wings, dominates the hillside and adjoins two former farmhouses that have been converted into guest accommodation.

Patrizia Chiari, inspired by her grandfather and her passion for Tuscan nature, left a career in Italian design to breathe new life into the estate. In just a few years, the estate has been transformed into a thriving vineyard, with the aim of capturing the essence of the terroir in every bottle of wine.

Since the Middle Ages, Imposto and Impostino have been stopping-off points for travellers and traders between Siena and Grosseto. The historic inn, now a pasture, has been restored by its current owners to its former splendour.
