Clos de l'Amandaie
Clos de l'Amandaie

For six generations, the Peytavy family relays on the slopes of the Clos de l'Amandaie on the beautiful town of Aumelas 25 km north-west of Montpellier. Each generation brings its touch of modernization and sign the influence of his time while feeding on the advice of the elders. It is in 2002 that the son Philippe and Stephanie his wife take over the torch. It is thanks to the meeting of an enthusiast, who has contracted the vinification virus with his grandfather, and a native Mauritian who came to France to complete his university course that is born this beautiful adventure of Clos de l'Amandaie.

It is by discovering the work of the famous calligrapher Shan Shan that Stéphanie and Philippe have the idea to entrust to him the creation of the visual identity of the field. His work highlights the elegance and purity of our wines. It is through the almond tree, emblematic tree of the town, centenary witness who bordered then the hamlets of Aumelas that the identity of the estate was born.

The estate is continuing a close collaboration with Shan Shan for the creation of its new vintages.
