In Bodegas Campillo the vineyard and the winery are united; a winery open to an exceptional vineyard.

Bodegas Campillo is one of the few examples in Rioja with this "castle" model. Surrounded by 50 hectares of vineyards and surrounded by the Sierra Cantabria, Bodegas Campillo is located in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, in the medieval village of Laguardia.

The ownership of the vineyard allows us to control, from the very beginning, the final quality obtained in their wines. This is a constant throughout our range, with a unique style and personality.

Eye: a wonderfully dense ruby colour. Held at a slight angle, the red wine glass reveals a charming garnet-red hue around the rim.

Nose: When poured into a red wine glass, this Old World red wine displays wonderfully expressive aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, blueberry and mulberry, complemented by notes of vanilla, black tea and gingerbread spice brought on by barrel ageing.

Mouth: Bodegas Campillo's Crianza Rioja is wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety. The finish of this ripe red wine from the La Rioja wine region, specifically Rioja DOCa, finally impresses with considerable reverberation.
