Grappa Riserva Botti da Rum

The Sibona distillery, located in the municipality of Roero in the heart of an important wine-growing region of Piedmont, is renowned for its high-quality grappas. Founded a century ago, it holds a historic distillation licence. Thanks to meticulous distillation and ageing in special casks, Sibona grappas acquire exceptional typicity and nobility. The ageing cellars house a variety of casks, including some of Port, Madeira, Sherry and Rum, giving rise to special reserve grappas and the exclusive Sibona XO Grappa.

This special Grappa Riserva, already aged for a long period in oak casks, was then rested for several months in casks previously used to age 'Rum' from some of the most prestigious distilleries. The special period in rum casks was tested by us in an innovative way on Grappa, with exceptional results from a quality point of view. The rich, elaborate aroma, with spicy notes, and the elegant, distinct flavour, with notes of coffee and vanilla and a lingering finish, are very reminiscent of the Rum already contained in these casks.
