It is harvested an average of 45,000 hectoliters of Saumur Champigny on 900 hectares. The presence of a chalky soil, called "Tuffeau", is the essential characteristic of this area of appellation.
The Saumur Champigny "La Cour du Vigneau" is a fine, elegant wine, very typical of the appellation. Harvested on the commune of VARRAINS; it is distinguished by its very floral aroma reminiscent of raspberry.
