Tasting
Eye: A ruby-red colour.
Nose: Intense, revealing aromas of blackcurrant, fig and blackberry, as well as aromas worthy of the greatest Merlot: notes of undergrowth and peppermint.
The barrel ageing is discreet and subtly completes the aromatic palette with fine toasted and roasted notes.
Palate: The attack is delicate and creamy. The finish is long and finely woody, like pencil lead.
Aging potential: 10 years
Serving temperature: 16° C
Food and wine pairing: Best served with a piece of Bazas beef! Bazas beef is reared for at least 3 years, then fattened for the last few months of its life. It is this traditional method that gives the meat its unrivalled flavour.
