Description

Created in Hendaye by pharmacist and botanist Joseph Grattau, IZARRA is the emblematic liqueur of the Basque Country. IZARRA Jaune is the result of the distillation of several plants and spices. The final blend includes honey, added after various macerations in alcohol and armagnac.

Tasting

Eye: Clear and brilliant.

Nose: Izarra yellow liqueur has a vegetal nose with hints of cinnamon, coriander and a touch of aniseed.

Mouth: Unctuous on the palate, vegetal and spicy notes combine with a background of sweet honey. Yellow Izarra is appreciated for its typical sweetness.
