Calcario3 do Principal 2022

Calcário do Principal Chardonnay is produced by Quinta Colinas de São Lourenço, an estate in the heart of Portugal's Bairrada region. This 61-hectare dry-farmed vineyard benefits from a clay-limestone terroir and an Atlantic climate tempered by the surrounding mountains. The estate uses traditional winemaking methods, with fermentation in stainless steel vats followed by ageing in French oak barrels, to produce wines that reflect the purity of the grape variety and the terroir.

To the eye: A bright, limpid lemon-yellow colour with greenish highlights.

On the nose: Captivating aromas of gunflint, tropical fruit and wet stone.

On the palate: Medium body with vibrant acidity and a linear minerality evoking a sensation of ‘spring water’.

Food and wine pairing: Perfect with seafood, grilled fish, white meats and as an aperitif.

Serving temperature: 8-10°C.
