Glenfiddich is the third largest whisky distillery in Scotland with a production volume of around 10 million litres per year. The huge site and its numerous warehouses are located just a few minutes from the small town of Dufftown, in the Speyside region. However, the business has remained in the hands of the founding Grant family to this day. In those days, William Grant built Glenfiddich almost single-handedly. He filled his stills, which he had bought from Cardhu Distillery, for the first time in December 1887 with grain mash that he had produced himself. The stills have always been used and are much smaller than in the other farms - that is why there are 28 at a time. In 1963, William Grant - known throughout his life for his extraordinary ideas - broke new ground and was the first to begin marketing single malt Scotch whisky as an alternative to blended whisky on an international scale. His initiative was successful: After all, Glendfiddich is one of the most famous single malts in the world!

This tasting set includes three of the most popular bottlings:

- Glenfiddich 12 Year Old: The distillery's flagship whisky matures in both bourbon and sherry casks. It has a sweet, malty taste with notes of creamy, buttery toffee, fresh pears and toasted oak.

- Glenfiddich 15 Year Old: For this edition, whiskies from three different cask types are combined in a Solera vat to harmonise with each other. In the glass, the whisky releases aromas of honey, vanilla, dried fruits and spices.

- Glenfiddich 18 Year Old: After aging in oloroso sherry and bourbon casks, the whisky matures in small casks for three months. This brings out notes of dates, apples, candied citrus peel and oak.
