Description
Appleton Estate 21 Years is a sweet to spicy molasses rum that has been stored for at least 21 years in traditional American oak casks - a very long time for a tropical distillate, as the warm temperatures intensify and accelerate the maturation process. The Appleton Estate distillery in the Nassau Valley is one of the oldest rum producers in Jamaica. Sugar cane has been grown on their premises since 1749. Today, the distillery owns around 4,400 hectares of land, from which over 200,000 tonnes of sugar cane are harvested each year. There is also a separate cooperage, which ensures that the rum matures perfectly in the casks.
