Description
The harmony of beauty
Macán Clásico emerges from the bowels of La Rioja. A wine of yesterday and today that respects the most authentic and clean style of a prestigious land. A wine that seeks harmony through the expression of its roots. The character of its birthplace gives it a special elegance, a persistent imprint, enveloping it in an unforgettable balance of sensitivity and expressiveness.
Macán and Macán Clásico are the joint vision that two great names in the wine world, Rothschild and Vega Sicilia, have of Rioja. These are wines of great elegance, where the harmony of their aromas and tastes show the authenticity of the land from which they come and their capacity to produce great wines.
Macán Clásico is closer and more expressive, with a more pleasant and pleasant sip, with a marked character of the land from which it comes and a sensitivity that makes it very attractive.
Its coexistence is due to the desire to preserve the Bordeaux tradition, as a first and a second wine are made. The two coexist permanently, and are treated in exactly the same way from the vineyard to the classification tasting. At this point, the different batches of wine from the vintage are separated, allowing the two wines to be seen individually and showing the differences between them.
Tasting
Eye : Clear, brilliant wine. Garnet colour with ruby highlights.
Nose : Notes of red fruit, cherry jam and cherries. It also has hints of redcurrant, but more subtle. Alongside the fruit, there is a well-integrated woodiness with aromas of Mediterranean spices and a slight smoky, toasty tone.
Palate : Smooth entry, slightly sweet. Superb structure. Wide and fat mouthfeel, with good acidity and volume; the tannins are marked at the end of the mouthfeel, but will eventually become rounder with time in the bottle, revealing a ripe, powerful tannin. Mild bitterness. Very fruity finish. Long and persistent wine.
