Casa Ferreirinha is home to the iconic Barca Velha - one of Portugal's biggest names, as well as one of the Douro's rarest wines. Barca Velha has a rich and enduring history, which began in 1952. To date, only 17 editions have been released - while maintaining the extremely high standards demanded of each harvest.Due to Barca Velha's unparalleled quality, the wine attracts high prices and the attention of collectors worldwide. Owned by Sogrape, Portugal's largest producer, Casa Ferreirinha is the most historically significant house in the Douro and one of the most dynamic.

Eye: A pale pink colour with a slight salmon tinge.

Nose: The aroma is lively and intense, with notes of ripe fruit, ripe red berries, sweets, floral and resinous.

Palate: It has good volume, refreshing acidity, red fruit notes, slightly floral and with a very elegant finish.
