Description
Located in the commune of saint-emilion, but bordering on pomerol, the estate consists of 39 hectares divided into forty-five plots. each one is, to a certain extent, treated like a separate vineyard because of the differences in the age of the vines, grape variety, soil type, etc. The combination of these many facets accounts for cheval blanc's great complexity.

Tasting
The 2002 Cheval Blanc vintage evolves with elegance and surprises with its complexity and intensity. A wine to be (re)discovered.
The colour is an intense, brilliant and dark red.
The nose, still a little closed, reveals itself to be very pure after aeration and expresses a very present and slightly liquorice-like fruit. The blackcurrant, blackberry and blueberry aromas are wrapped in smoky notes from the wood. Its racy evolution now offers an airy and floral nose, complex and intense, the attack is round and unctuous.
The palate is supple, silky and continuous and offers generous volume with crisp black fruit. This is a vintage marked by its silky tannins and beautiful balance.
The elegant, slightly liquorice finish is of good length. The evolution of a vintage is often difficult to predict precisely: the 2002 vintage thus offers a real surprise.
A complex, intense and racy Cheval Blanc.
