Description
The wines of La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou come from the vineyards of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou. This exceptional Médoc cru is located between the river to the east and the centre and west of the Saint-Julien AOC area. The estate owes its name to its "beautiful pebbles" which, due to their quartz preponderance, produce thin soils.
It is precisely this "agrological" poverty, as Professor René Pijassou wrote, that makes them so valuable for wine production. In the East, the plots occupy the Medocian ridges just above the estuary, while those in the epicentre benefit from a microclimate created by the small stream of La Mouline, which runs through the middle of the appellation, from west to east, to flow into the Gironde.

Powerful, silky, very aromatic, La Croix Ducru-Beaucaillou seduces by its nose, its balance, its remarkable finesse and its persistence. A great vintage that awakens, charms and introduces you to the Borie brand.
