Description
The original name of the estate comes from Pierre Desmezures de Rauzan, who acquired the noble house of Gassies in 1661. In the middle of the 18th century, the estate split in two to become Rauzan-Gassies and Rauzan-Ségla.
Château Rauzan-Ségla was classified as a Second Growth in the 1855 list, published for the first Universal Exhibition in Paris.
In 1994, the House of Chanel (Wertheimer family) became the owner of the estate.
