Description
Founded in 1365, this great growth owned by remarkable figures such as the Scottish navigator Georges Smith in the 18th century and Lodi Duffour-Dubergier in the 19th century, owes its reputation as "the quintessential Graves" to its superb terroir of günzian gravel in a single block.
Tasting
Appearance: Deep, intense purple color with violet reflections, very bright and clear.
Nose: Complex aromas of ripe black fruits, such as blackberry and cassis, with spicy and woody notes from oak aging. Hints of tobacco and cedar add depth.
Palate: Structured and powerful wine with velvety and elegant tannins. A beautiful balance between fruit freshness and the richness of oak. The finish is long and harmonious, marked by a slight licorice note.
Food pairings: Perfectly pairs with grilled red meats, game dishes in sauce, and aged cheeses.
Serving temperature: 16–18 °C.
