Description
The Allegrini Estates empire is made up of four farms in Veneto and Tuscany, covering a total area of 240 hectares. The Allegrini family has been involved in winemaking in Italy for hundreds of years and has deep roots in the Valpolicella Classico region, where it owns around 100 hectares of vineyards. The Corte Giara brand was born in 1989 from a collaboration with selected winegrowers who made their vineyards available through long-term leases. The vineyard covers 33 hectares and is located in the village of Fumane. The south-facing vineyards of Corte Giara are bordered to the north by the morainic hills that surround Lake Garda and define the southern limit of the Alps. With the grape varieties grown, the Allegrini family can cover the whole range of typical regional wines: Valpolicella, Amarone, Ripasso, Recioto, Soave and Bardolino. However, Corte Giara also offers wines made from Pinot Grigio, Merlot and Chardonnay.
