Description
Founded in 1983, Domaine Donnafugata, Italian for "woman on the run", takes its name from the exile of Queen Maria Carolina of Naples on the land of a local prince when Napoleon took Naples. Giacomo Rallo, the founder of this estate in the north-west of Sicily, is the fourth generation of a family that has been producing top-quality wines since 1851. Spread over 5 different sites, Domaine Donnafugata owes its uniqueness to its wide range of terroirs, giving each cuvée a unique style that reflects the richness of the Sicilian terroir.
