Tons de Duorum 2023

The reflection of the sun on the Douro River, creating different shades across the vineyards, is what inspired the name Tons de Duorum. It is a wine that expresses the full terroir of the fantastic Douro region, born from the interaction between nature and human dedication.

Vinification: Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes are sorted, destemmed, and crushed. This is followed by a cold pre-fermentation maceration (10 to 12ºC) in stainless steel tanks equipped with a robotic punching system, lasting about 3 days. After this process, the crushed grapes are transferred to stainless steel fermentation tanks, where alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of approximately 25ºC.

The João Portugal Ramos Group wines are present all over the world, being a market leader in Portuguese wine sales in several countries.
Today, the winemaker is joined by two of his five children: João Maria, who works in the oenology department, and Filipa, who is part of the marketing team — thus continuing the family legacy.

Appearance: Intense red with violet hues.

Nose: Intense aromas of fresh red fruits like strawberry and raspberry.

Palate: Very soft, ripe tannins with a smooth, full-bodied texture, and a finish marked by freshness.

Food pairings: Perfect with grilled meats, tapas, charcuterie, or semi-hard cheeses.
