João Portugal Ramos planted the first 5 hectares of vines in Estremoz, where he had been living since 1988, kick-starting his personal project. Estremoz was the first place João Portugal Ramos chose to make his own wines, after a long career as a consultant oenologist creating wines in Portugal's main wine-growing regions.
The wines of the João Portugal Ramos Group can be found all over the world, leading the way in the sale of Portuguese wines in certain countries.
Today, the winemaker has two of his five children at his side, João Maria in the oenology department and Filipa in the marketing department, continuing the family business.

Appearance: Deep, clear red.

Nose: Rich aromas of red fruits, with notes of wild berries and a mineral touch.

Palate: Elegant, velvety, and mineral, with firm, ripe tannins perfectly balanced by refined acidity.

Food pairings: Ideal with red meats, stews, game, or aged cheeses.
