Vinha do Lado - Single Vineyard 2020

Vinha do Lado Red 2020 owes its name to the fact that it is located on a small plot of vineyard next to Adega Vila Santa in Estremoz. This is a 1.5ha plot of Tinta Caiada, planted on a south-facing slope and with soil of schist origin. Numbered edition of 6600 bottles.

João Portugal Ramos plants the first 5 hectares of vineyards in Estremoz, where he has lived since 1988, starting his personal project. Estremoz is the first place chosen by João Portugal Ramos to make his own wines, after his long career as a consulting oenologist in the creation of wines in the main wine-growing regions of Portugal.
João Portugal Ramos Group wines are present all over the world, being leaders in sales of Portuguese wines in some countries.
Today, the winemaker has two of his five children by his side, João Maria in the oenology department and Filipa in the marketing department, continuing the family business.

Eye: Wine with an intense color.
Nose: Aromas of jam, ripe fruits, truffles and vanilla.
Mouth: In the mouth it reveals good acidity, soft, but with firm tannins, and a prolonged aftertaste.
