Description
It all starts with Albert, the ancestor, the visionary of the end of the 19th century, who planted the roots of the Massy family in these terraced vineyards, who chose the best plots, who knew how to work them with rigour and honesty to produce the wines that launched their reputation.
By Jean-François, the gentleman precursor who continued and developed the story with the nobility born of a job well done. He did everything to improve the quality, to bottle his wine rather than sell it in bulk, as was done at the time.
Luc and Margaret, today, have further developed the story, in this obsession to respect the terroirs as much as possible.
Gregory and Benjamin, the fourth generation, are responsible for keeping this saga alive even further back in time. They have all travelled, discovered, and looked elsewhere to bring back the best practices.
Tasting
Dark and intense in colour, this Dézaley red charms with its complex aromas.
Fruity and hints of spiciness mingle with savours of vanilla and oak. The beginning is generous, big, before the wine develops its fleshy with elegance.
The tannins are structured, silky. The body, fruity, opulent, balanced and well-rounded offers a long and voluptuous finish.
The blend of 3 grape types: Gamay, Pinot noir and Merlot as well as the 20 months of french oak barrique maturation provides the features of this wine.
