Santenay 1er Cru - Gravières 2022

The house has been in family hands for 130 years. Today, the fourth generation is pursuing the quest for that ‘elegant perfection’ for which Joseph Drouhin wines are renowned, by perpetuating tradition and innovating. The Domaine Joseph Drouhin has been built up over the decades, and now covers 73 hectares in the Côte de Nuits, Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise and Chablis.

With around 90 appellations, made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, Joseph Drouhin offers a fascinating discovery of the Burgundy terroir, with respect for the land, the vines and the environment.
 

‘A wine of character, fruity with lovely tannins. Santenay Premier Cru Gravières is an intense ruby colour. The delicate nose is reminiscent of red berries (raspberry, strawberry, blackberry). The palate is greedy, racy but silky and very well-balanced.
The finish is fruity and spicy. This is a wine for laying down, combining fullness and finesse’.
