Rhum Plantation Fiji Islands 2004
Rhum
70cl- Unit
Description
The Cognac house, Cognac Ferrand, is the originator of the fascinating Plantation Rum brand. Originally, Ferrand had a privileged relationship with the best distilleries in the Caribbean, to whom it sold barrels containing its Cognac. Maison Ferrand barrels were highly prized by certain rum producers, who used them to refine their product. During these exchanges, Alexandre Gabriel had the opportunity to discover some very old batches with an extraordinary richness and diversity of aromas.
Tasting
The Plantation Fiji Islands 2004 19YO is a delightful rum that displays a unique balance between wood and fruit notes. It has a rich and complex flavor profile that starts off with a sweet aroma of molasses, followed by subtle hints of coconut and vanilla. On the palate, it's smooth and creamy, with flavors of ripe tropical fruits, spices, and oak. The finish is long and lingering, with notes of butterscotch and caramel. Overall, this rum is a great example of the quality and craftsmanship that Plantation is known for. Highly recommended for rum lovers!
