Whisky Glen Grant 18 ans

Glen Grant 18 Year Old is a Scotch whisky from the Speyside region, aged for 72 seasons in cool, dark warehouses. Launched in 2016, it has a smooth, elegant profile, with notes of toffee, vanilla, malt, raisins, spices, oak and flowers. The light colour is due to the use of used bourbon casks and the absence of colourants. Located in Rothes, the Glen Grant distillery is the oldest still in operation in the town. It uses pure water from its own springs and a local stream. Its unique distillation process relies on slender stills with purifiers, which retain only the lightest vapours, giving the whisky a remarkable finesse. Only the best distillate is aged in carefully selected casks, giving Glen Grant 18 Year Old its exceptional quality and distinctive character.

To the eye: A surprisingly clear colour for an 18-year-old whisky, golden and limpid, with no added colouring.

On the nose: Elegant and complex, combining soft toffee, sweet vanilla, malt, raisins, floral notes and a hint of wood.

Palate: Smooth and balanced, with sweet toffee and dried fruit flavours, subtle spices and a round, silky texture. Long, refined and slightly woody finish.

Food and whisky pairings: Ideal at the end of a meal with a nut or caramel dessert, or simply neat to appreciate its full complexity.

Serving temperature: At room temperature, between 18°C and 20°C. Serve neat in a tulip glass or snifter.
