RUMO VINHOS LUMINA comes from the Latin “ILLUMINATED.” It means to have intense brightness and to live closer to the sun. A perfect definition for our new journey. This blend of Alicante Bouschet, Tinta Miúda, and Tinta Caiada is the result of a quest to express Alentejo at its purest and sunniest. A wine with great character and excellent ageing potential.

Viticulture: Made from grapes harvested in small plots north of the Serra d’Ossa, where rocky, infertile schist soils produce low yields but high-quality fruit. Our grapes are also grown under a certified integrated production regime.

Winemaking: Grapes were hand-harvested and selected, then gravity-fed after sorting and crushing. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentations occurred spontaneously. Post-fermentation maceration lasted 35 days.

Appearance: Deep, concentrated dark violet color

Nose: Shows the sunny side while maintaining fruit freshness. Concentrated and intense, with notes of crushed blackberries and blueberries, a floral touch, and a subtle toasted almond aroma from the barrel

Palate: Impresses with its structured character, freshness, acidity, and fine yet powerful tannins, ensuring a long finish. A wine that has much to reveal with time in bottle

Food Pairing: Pairs well with fatty meats, braised or slow-cooked dishes, game, and strong cheeses
