Topaze - Chardonnay 2022

Stéphane Gros, who heads a 6.5 hectare estate in the village of Dardagny, makes racy, powerful wines for laying down. He is the 7th generation of Gros to take over the family business.
His motto: ‘Wine is made in the vineyard; 95% of a wine's quality comes from the way in which the grapes have been tended during the year. The winemaker only has 5% of the margin to bring out the best in the wine.

Eye: The wine has a brilliant, golden, slightly pale colour, with almost crystalline highlights that testify to its freshness and purity.

Nose: On the nose, this wine has intense, complex aromas. There are notes of exotic fruit, such as pineapple and mango, accompanied by delicate floral nuances and a hint of citrus zest. A light mineral fragrance completes the bouquet, evoking damp rock.

Palate: On the palate, Topaze Blanc is full-bodied and elegant. It has a lovely fresh attack, balanced by fruity aromas and a pleasant roundness. The texture is slightly oily, but the minerality and fine acidity add liveliness and length on the finish. This wine leaves a sensation of freshness and purity that invites you to take another sip.
