Whisky Tomatin 15 Ans Portug. Col. Madeira Casks

The Portuguese collection of the Tomatin distillery shows the exceptional influence of the different Portuguese wine casks in the maturation of the whiskies. In total, the Portuguese collection includes three bottlings: Madeira, Moscatel and Port. Highland whisky was distilled on 8 September 2006 and then aged for 8 years in traditional Scotch whisky oak casks. As of 23 April 2015, it was further aged for 7 years in Tawny Port casks.

Nose: Poached quince, with twists of oily lemon peel, and drizzles of caramel.

Mouth: sweet membrillo, with spiced apple compote, oaky vanilla, and crumbly shortcake.

Finish: Floral honey, and warm spices.
