Cuvée du Centenaire
Grand Marnier
70cl
- Unit
Description
To mark its 100th anniversary, Marnier-Lapostolle created this edition of Grand Marnier in 1927. First-class X.O. cognacs from France's most prestigious growing regions were used, blended with the zest of tropical bitter oranges. The blend is 82% cognac and 18% orange liqueur. The age of the cognacs (X.O. represents an average of 20 years, but at least ten years) indicates that this liqueur should be drunk neat. In addition, the blend matures in oak casks for a further two years to form a balanced blend.
Tasting
Appearance: Deep amber color with golden reflections, bright and clear.
Nose: Rich and complex, with aromas of aged cognac, vanilla, oak, and subtle notes of bitter orange, citrus zest, and light spices.
Palate: Round, smooth, and velvety, the palate offers a beautiful balance between the softness of the cognac and the liveliness of the orange. The texture is silky, with a long aromatic finish marked by woody and slightly spicy notes, supported by the freshness of the citrus.
Food Pairing: Ideal as a digestif, it pairs wonderfully with chocolate desserts, candied fruits, or blue-veined cheeses. It can also be enjoyed on its own to appreciate its full complexity.
Serving Temperature: 15 - 18 °C
