Description
This noble fruit spirit, carefully distilled and matured, is created from the ancient "Royal Luizet" apricot variety and impresses with its fruitiness and fine, appreciated almond note.
The tasty, high-quality apricots are grown in Switzerland, in the canton of Valais. They are picked at the right time between July and August.
The apricots are processed with their pits, which are the source of the pleasant, fine almond note found in this Vieil Abricot.
The freshly distilled apricot brandy is first left to rest for at least two years in stainless steel tanks. It then matures for 14 to 18 months in oak barrels. At the end of this process, the apricot distillate is refined with a homemade bonifier to give it the wonderful aroma and subtle sweetness that make this Vieil Abricot so unique.
