Description
Cannonau, one of Sardinia's oldest grape varieties, has now had its origins confirmed as dating back to 1200 BC, thanks to a seed discovered, dated and studied by the University of Milan. This research puts the Cannonau at the top of the list of comparable or similar grapes. As a tribute to this discovery, it was decided to depict this wine label in the form of a Nuraghe, the emblematic symbol of ancient Sardinia.
Su Nuraxi in Barumini, just 20 km north of our winery, is the emblematic monument of the Nuraghic civilisation in Sardinia. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is a prestigious setting for a world-class wine.
