Rhum Plantation XO 20th Anniversary

The French company "Cognac Ferrand" specializes in cognac. As the Caribbean distilleries were repeatedly supplied with old cognac casks, the first contacts with the company were established fairly quickly. When owner Alexandre Gabriel was invited to a rum tasting during a visit to the Caribbean, he was so enthusiastic about the spirit that he decided to launch the Plantation Rum series. No industrial production is involved in the production of these rums: distillation takes place directly in the sugarcane-growing area. One of the oldest bottlings in the Plantation series, Barbados Extra Old 20th Anniversary, matures for at least twelve years in bourbon casks in the tropical climate of Barbados, and is then finished in the cellars of Château de Bonbonnet, in the French Charente region. As is always the case with the Plantation series, Barbados Extra Old 20th Anniversary uses rum from various Barbados distilleries.
