Description
On the highest hills of the CastelGiocondo estate, where wines were already produced in 1800, a place has been found that offers a wine capable of arousing extraordinary emotions.
The altitude of 450 metres, the exposure to the hot afternoon sun, the galestro soils and the salubrious Mediterranean winds give this wine a unique and unforgettable personality with each Lamberto Frescobaldi vintage.

Tasting
Eye : it has a magnificent colour of an intense and brilliant ruby red with delicate garnet reflections on the edge of the disk.
Nose : the fruity notes open the ball: blueberry, cherry, Morello cherry in brandy. However, it is the tertiary aromas, due to the long maturation, that take centre stage; they blend together in perfect balance, none of them prevailing over the others.
Mouth : The main descriptors are cinnamon, tobacco, tea leaves, roasted coffee beans and a hint of leather. The sensory journey ends on an elegant spicy note: white pepper, clove and cinnamon. The ripe and compact tannins, velvety and silky, gently caress the palate and integrate beautifully with the wine's matrix. They are also a splendid match for the acid and alcohol component. The finish is extremely long and once again underlines the greatness of the vintage.
