Description

Presented as part of Diageo`s Special Releases series, this 12-year-old Lagavulin offers a modern interpretation of their popular single malt. For this edition, Lagavulin introduces a unique element to the ageing process, with the spirit maturing in ex-Don Julio Añejo Tequila casks. As a result, the whisky acquires distinctive layers of vibrant herbal smoke and rich dark plum fruit notes.

Tasting

Nose: Padrón pepper, burnt campfire, stone fruit, white chocolate and charred pineapple.

Palate: smoky herbs, plum compote, orange peel and oak spices.

Finish: salty popcorn and toffee.
